Role & Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Microservices.
- Develop scalable, secure, and cloud-ready RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Apply Microservices Design Patterns such as Circuit Breaker, API Gateway, Saga, CQRS, Event Sourcing, and Strangler Pattern.
- Design and optimize SQL/RDBMS databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle), including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and data modeling.
- Implement secure coding practices following OWASP Top 10, API security, token-based authentication, and encryption standards.
- Build reusable components and standardized frameworks for application teams.
- Utilize Generative AI tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Windsurf, etc.) to improve development productivity.
- Follow modern engineering practices including TDD, BDD, Clean Code, and automated quality gates.
- Leverage AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Windsurf, or similar to improve coding productivity, code quality, and development efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively in Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to high-quality software delivery.

Preferred Candidate Profile





- 6-12 years of hands-on experience in enterprise application development.
- Strong expertise in Java (8/11/17), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices, and REST APIs.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Hands-on experience with Microservices Architecture and related design patterns.
- Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and caching technologies such as Redis or Hazelcast.
- Experience with secure application development and API security best practices.
- Familiarity with Generative AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Windsurf).
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Windsurf, Cursor, or similar) for code generation, debugging, documentation, and productivity enhancement.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a high ownership mindset.
- Willingness to work with a few hours of overlap with the New Zealand time zone (starting work around 7:00 AM).
