Role Overview
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer (Ruby on Rails + Vue.js) who thrives in early-stage startup environments and takes full ownership of features from design to production.
You will work closely with founders, product stakeholders, and engineers to build scalable, secure, and high-performance systems that directly impact end users.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the stack, takes pride in production systems, and is comfortable owning reliability, observability, and continuous improvement of services.

Key Responsibilities
Full Stack Development

- Design, build, and maintain scalable, robust full-stack features using Ruby on Rails for the backend and Vue 3 (Composition API) for the frontend.
- Leverage Vue 3 featuressuch as Composables for clean logic reuse, Script Setup syntax, and the Composition APIto build modular, maintainable UI components.
- Design, implement, and consume secure, highly performant RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints bridging Rails and Vue.
- State & Performance Management: Manage frontend state efficiently using Pinia (or Vuex) and optimize database schemas/queries in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)



to ensure peak performance across the entire stack.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimizing both backend query response times and frontend rendering/bundle sizes.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable, and efficient code across the stack
- Utilize GitLab for version control and collaborate on contemporary CI/CD deployment pipelines
- Hands-on experience of using AI coding platforms like Cursor / Claude Code / Co Pilot for architectural direction, broad designs, complex code reviews and refactoring is preferred

Production Ownership

- Own features end-to-end: design development deployment production monitoring
- Diagnose production issues, debug complex system behavior, and implement long-term fixes
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of systems

Cloud, DevOps & Infrastructure

- Work with modern cloud infrastructure including Amazon Web Services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch)
- Build and maintain containerized applications using Docker
- Work with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and release reliability

Observability & Reliability Engineering

- Implement and improve monitoring and alerting systems using tools like
Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, Sentry
- Improve system observability through logs, metrics, and tracing
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance

Engineering Best Practices

- Follow and enforce best practices including:
- Test-driven development (TDD)
- Code reviews and refactoring
- Continuous integration and delivery
- Secure coding practices





- Maintain high code quality standards across the engineering team

Collaboration & Ownership

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, business)
- Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making
- Drive adoption of modern tools, frameworks, and engineering practices

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience in full stack development
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Ruby on Rails
- Vue 3 (or similar modern frontend frameworks)

- Strong understanding of backend systems, APIs, and distributed architectures
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
- Strong debugging and production troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Strong understanding of security best practices (authentication, authorization, data protection)

Good to Have

- Experience with modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to microservices architecture
- Experience with AI-powered systems, including:
- LLM integrations
- RAG architectures
- Vector databases and agent-based systems

- Familiarity with tools like LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks
- Experience working in early-stage startups or high-growth environments
