Software Knowledge SAP S4 HANA, Advanced Excel

Position Summary
The LEAD - PPC will be responsible for end-to-end production planning, capacity utilization, inventory management, order fulfillment, dispatch coordination, and supply chain synchronization for the BOPP/BOPET manufacturing facility. The role will ensure optimum utilization of six production lines, metallizers, slitters, and packing resources while balancing customer requirements, plant capacities, raw material availability, and inventory levels.
The incumbent will act as the central coordinator between Sales & Marketing, Production, SCM, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Packing, and Dispatch departments to ensure timely delivery of customer orders with maximum efficiency and minimum inventory carrying costs.

Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling

- Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on customer demand and sales forecasts.
- Plan production for six BOPP/BOPET lines considering machine capability, product mix, line speeds, and changeover requirements.
- Optimize production schedules to maximize machine utilization and minimize downtime.
- Ensure adherence to committed delivery schedules.
- Balance production load across all manufacturing lines.
- Monitor production plan versus actual execution and initiate corrective actions.
- Manage planning for metallizing, slitting, rewinding, packing, and dispatch operations.

Sales Order Management

- Review customer orders received from the Marketing & Sales team.
- Prioritize orders based on customer commitments and business requirements.
- Ensure timely conversion of sales orders into production plans.
- Monitor order fulfillment status daily.
- Coordinate with marketing teams regarding production status and dispatch schedules.




- Maintain OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance targets.

Capacity Planning

- Analyze available production capacities across all six production lines.
- Conduct short-term and long-term capacity planning.
- Identify bottlenecks affecting production output.
- Recommend capacity enhancement opportunities.
- Monitor machine utilization and efficiency trends.
- Support expansion projects and new line commissioning activities.

Inventory Management
Raw Material Planning

- Ensure timely availability of:
- Polypropylene Resin
- Polyester Resin
- Masterbatches
- Additives
- Chemicals
- Packaging Materials
- Core Pipes

Work-in-Process (WIP) Management

- Monitor WIP inventory levels.
- Ensure smooth flow between production, metallizing, slitting, and packing.

Finished Goods Management

- Maintain optimum finished goods inventory.
- Reduce slow-moving and non-moving inventory.
- Improve inventory turnover ratios.

Supply Chain Coordination

- Coordinate with SCM for procurement planning.
- Review material requirement planning (MRP) outputs.
- Monitor material availability against production requirements.
- Ensure uninterrupted production through effective material planning.
- Minimize stock-outs and excess inventory situations.

Dispatch & Customer Delivery Planning

- Coordinate daily dispatch planning with logistics and warehouse teams.
- Ensure finished goods availability as per customer delivery schedules.
- Monitor dispatch adherence against committed delivery dates.
- Improve vehicle turnaround time.
- Ensure proper stock allocation for customer orders.
- Coordinate export and domestic dispatch planning.

SAP & Planning Systems Management

- Ensure accuracy of planning data in SAP S4 HANA.
- Monitor MRP execution and planning parameters.
- Maintain BOMs, production versions, and planning master data.
- Generate and analyze planning reports and dashboards.
- Improve planning visibility through system-driven controls.

Process Improvement & Cost Optimization

- Reduce production losses caused by poor planning.
- Minimize machine changeover time through optimized sequencing.
- Improve inventory carrying efficiency.
- Reduce urgent production changes and planning disruptions.
- Drive Lean and Kaizen initiatives within PPC.
- Develop data-driven planning systems and automation.
