Job Summary

The Duty Medical Officer (DMO) / Senior House Officer (SHO) is responsible for providing high-quality inpatient and emergency medical care under the guidance of consultants. The role involves clinical assessment, patient management, documentation, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring continuity of patient care in accordance with hospital policies and clinical protocols.

Clinical Responsibilities

- Develop and implement treatment plans under consultant supervision.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Order and interpret laboratory and radiological investigations as advised by Seniors
- Assist consultants during ward rounds,



emergency procedures, and interventions.
- Assess, examine, and manage patients admitted under the respective specialty.
- Perform detailed history taking and clinical examinations.
- Monitor patient progress and promptly identify any clinical deterioration.
- Initiate emergency management and escalate critical cases to consultants.
- Ensure accurate completion of medical records and discharge summaries
- Follow infection prevention and hospital safety protocols.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies and accreditation standards.

Preferred candidate profile

- MBBS from a recognized institution.
- Valid Medical Council Registration (NMC/State Medical Council).
- Registration with the Karnataka Medical Council (KMC) or Any State Medical Council is preferred.
- Experience in the relevant specialty will be an added advantage.
