President Operations - Corrugated Box

- Responsible for enterprise-wide P&L;, production strategies, and plant networks and optimize corrugator and converting workflows, manage supply chain risks and drive continuous improvement to meet strict quality (board caliper), safety (5S/SOPs), drive Lean transformation to meet strict safety, quality, and financial targets across manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

P&L; & Strategic Budgeting:

- Accountable for top-line revenue growth and margin expansion across single or multi-site facilities. Direct capital expenditure (CapEx)



planning for machinery upgrades (e.g., corrugators, flexo folder gluers, rotary die-cutters).
- Take total accountability for operational budgets, conversion cost per unit, and financial performance.

Operational & Workflow Leadership:

- Oversee end-to-end box manufacturing, from paper mill sourcing and inventory holding to corrugating, converting, and final dispatch.
- Manage day-to-day production. Oversee corrugator lines, printing, slotting, die-cutting, and finishing.

Quality & Waste Reduction:

- Establish stringent board caliper and converting standards, minimizing waste, tracking Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and reducing customer quality complaints to near zero.
- Maintain strict quality standards (board caliper, flute profiles) while eliminating material waste.

Supply Chain & Procurement:

- Own the buy-side purchasing strategy for raw materials (kraft paper, liners, starch/adhesives, inks) to protect against market volatility and optimize buy-side margins.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to track inventory, raw paper reels, and avoid supply chain disruptions.

Maintenance & OEE:

- Lead engineering/maintenance teams to maximize equipment uptime, machine reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.

Compliance & Safety:

- Implement EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) protocols, SOPs, and 5S methodologies.





Workforce & Change Management:

- Lead large shop-floor workforces and plant heads through operational transformation, building high-performing leadership pipelines and championing safety/compliance protocols (e.g., 5S, OSHA/statutory norms).

Preferred candidate profile

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering with 15+ years of progressive manufacturing and operations experience, specifically holding leadership roles like Vice President of Operations or Director of Manufacturing within the corrugated packaging industry.
2. In-depth, hands-on knowledge of automatic and semi-automatic plant machinery, including corrugators, flexo folder gluers (FFG), and die-cutters.
3. Deep technical knowledge of paper grades, flute profiles, starch preparation, and ERP system BOM (Bill of Materials) creation.
4. Proven track record of implementing continuous improvement frameworks such as Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), or Kaizen expertise.
