We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Hardware PCB Test and Assembly Engineer to support the development, testing, and assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs) in a high-performance engineering environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing testing protocols, diagnosing faults, assembling electronic hardware, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product reliability and performance.
Job Responsibilities:
1. PCB Assembly & Soldering:
- Perform precise soldering of components on PCBs, including through-hole and surface-mount components.
- Inspect and verify solder joints to ensure quality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and repair PCBs to resolve defects or issues.
- Wiring Harness Assembly:
- Design, assemble, and test wiring harnesses based on technical schematics and customer requirements.
- Use appropriate tools to cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires accurately.
- Perform continuity checks and ensure proper insulation and protection of cables.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct thorough testing of assembled PCBs and wiring harnesses to meet quality standards.
- Document processes and maintain records of testing and inspections.
- Technical Support:
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Assist in identifying component substitutions and resolving supply chain constraints.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to industry standards and safety protocols during assembly and testing.
- Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 and other relevant standards.
- Qualitification:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in PCB soldering (through-hole and SMT) and wiring harness assembly.
- Proficiency with tools like soldering irons, crimpers, wire strippers, and multimeters.
- Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620) is an advantage.
- Solid attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with ESD handling procedures.
- Experience in testing and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
- Basic understanding of automated soldering processes and tools.
