We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant with solid expertise in Finance and Manufacturing/Production modules. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience implementing and supporting Business Central solutions for clients across the UK and European regions, with a deep understanding of finance, manufacturing, supply chain, and regulatory requirements.
The consultant will engage directly with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, design solutions, configure Business Central, conduct testing, and support end-to-end project delivery. Strong communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills are essential for success in this client-facing role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirement gathering workshops and business process discovery sessions with stakeholders.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into Business Central functional solutions.
- Configure and implement Business Central modules with a focus on:
- Finance Management
- Manufacturing Production
- Inventory Management
- Supply Chain Management
- Purchasing Procurement
- Sales Distribution
- Costing and Planning
- Perform fit-gap analysis and recommend best practice solutions.
- Prepare functional design documents, process flows, configuration documents, and user stories.
- Support data migration activities, testing cycles (SIT/UAT), and go-live readiness.
- Collaborate with technical consultants and developers for integrations, customizations, reports, and extensions.
- Conduct end-user training and provide post-go-live support..
- Ensure solutions comply with regional accounting, taxation, and statutory requirements.
Required Skills Experience
- Business Central Functional Expertise
- 8 10 years of ERP consulting experience with at least 5+ years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central/NAV functional experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Fixed Assets
- Cash Management
- Cost Accounting
- Financial Reporting
- Manufacturing
- Production Orders
- Capacity Planning
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Inventory Warehouse Management
- Demand Forecasting and Planning
- Experience in multiple full-cycle Business Central implementations.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and financial business processes.
- UK European Market Experience
- Proven experience working with clients in the UK and European regions.
- Strong understanding of:
- VAT regulations
- Intrastat reporting
- Reverse charge mechanisms
- EU/UK accounting standards
- Multi-currency and multi-company operations
- Experience in cross-border and multi-country implementations is highly desirable.
- Consulting Stakeholder Management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to independently conduct workshops with business users and senior stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and requirement analysis skills.
- Experience managing client expectations and providing solution recommendations.
- Ability to work effectively with global and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field with minimum 6 years IT experience
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central certifications preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, retail, or supply chain industries.
