What youll do

Docusign is looking for a software engineer to join our cloud engineering team, focused on building highly scalable, available, and reliable distributed systems

You will be responsible for designing high-performance, resilient architectures, developing microservices frameworks, and implementing cloud-based data platform systems to support global-scale business needs

You will also work on infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform-based deployments

This position is n individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering

Responsibility

- Develop testable, high-quality, and ship-ready code with ample test coverage

- Work as part of a cross-site development team to drive design, implementation, testing, and release of microservices platforms

- Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform to deploy and maintain cloud environments

- Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to improving system reliability and incident response

- Designing, building, and maintaining robust data platform solutions leveraging up-to-date tools

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work

Access to an office location is required

(Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

- 2+ years of hands-on software development experience in an object-oriented programming language such as C#, C++, or Java

- 2+ years of working with cloud deployment and configuration tools using scripting and configuration platforms

- Hands-on experience with cloud object storage (eg, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage) and/or eventing/messaging platforms (eg, Azure Event Hub, GCP Pub/Sub), including security hardening, lifecycle management, and cross-cloud abstraction patterns

- Proficiency in managing data platform infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform

- Experience with being part of an on-call rotation

Preferred

- Experience in a SaaS environment and practical knowledge of cloud technologies for Distributed systems

- Passion for exploring new technologies and a proven track record as a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
