Role & responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end algorithms for radar signal processing (e.g. pulse compression, Doppler processing, imaging, etc).
- Analyse radar signals to extract target and scene information.
- Implement calibration and compensation techniques (e.g., I/Q imbalance, timing errors, phase noise, motion compensation).
- Develop, test, and integrate radar imaging software tools and evaluation algorithms into operational systems.
- Work with large-scale radar datasets (binary, HDF5, complex I/Q streams.
- Evaluate and optimise algorithm performance in terms of efficiency, accuracy, memory usage, latency, and real-time feasibility.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation (design notes, validation reports, test procedures, specifications, integration manuals).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (RF, hardware, software, and system engineers) to ensure reliable end-to-end system performance.
- Maintain structured logs of test procedures, datasets, results, and observations to ensure traceability.
- Ensure compliance with system requirements (resolution, coverage, accuracy, MISRA rules).
