Senior Accountant – Australian Tax Return Preparation | BAS & Compliance | Remote IndiaWork directly with an established Australian accounting and advisory firm.Key: This role is specifically for professionals with hands-on experience in Australian Tax Return Preparation. We are NOT looking for general bookkeepers or accounting-only profiles.We are seeking experienced Australian Tax professionals who have worked with Australian public practice firms and have practical experience preparing Australian Individual, Company, Trust & Partnership Tax Returns, BAS, financial statements, and compliance work.Working Hours: ? 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM IST (overlapping with Australian business hours)Role OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Accountant with strong Australian Tax & Business Services experience to manage end-to-end tax compliance and accounting engagements.The ideal candidate has experience working with Australian accounting firms, preparing tax returns, managing client portfolios, reviewing workpapers, and ensuring compliance with ATO requirements.Company OverviewA well-established Australian accounting and advisory firm serving businesses and individuals across Australia. Trust & Partnership Tax ReturnsHandle end-to-end Australian tax compliance engagementsPrepare and review BAS and IASPrepare financial statements, workpapers, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end accountsHandle Australian taxation matters including Division 7A and Capital Gains Tax (CGT)Work on SMSF accounting and compliance (preferred)Communicate with Australian clients and stakeholdersEnsure accurate and timely delivery of ATO compliance requirementsWork extensively on Xero and other Australian accounting platformsWhat We're Looking For5+ years of experience working with Australian accounting firmsStrong hands-on experience in Australian Tax Return PreparationExperience preparing:Individual Tax ReturnsCompany Tax ReturnsTrust & Partnership Tax ReturnsBAS / IASFinancial StatementsStrong understanding of Australian taxation and ATO complianceExperience with Xero (mandatory)Exposure to MYOB, QuickBooks, Sage or similar platforms is an advantageStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working Australian business hoursNote: Candidates with only bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or general accounting experience will not be considered.If you have hands-on Australian Tax & Business Services experience and are looking for a stable remote opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
