We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced MEP Plumbing Engineer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, planning, and implementing plumbing systems for various building projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems, with a focus on plumbing within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

- Design and Planning: Develop detailed designs and plans for plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and gas systems, for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Project Management: Oversee plumbing projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordination: Work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate plumbing systems with other building systems.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
- Material Selection: Specify materials and equipment for plumbing systems, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Inspection and Testing: Conduct site inspections and tests to verify that plumbing systems are installed correctly and function as intended.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to plumbing systems during the design, construction, and post-construction phases.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies,



and best practices in the plumbing and MEP industry.

Requirements:

- Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Plumbing Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of plumbing design and engineering experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, and other plumbing design software.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of plumbing codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IPC, UPC).
- Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with sustainable and green building practices.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC and fire protection systems.

Work Environment:

- This job operates in a professional office environment with occasional visits to construction sites.
- Regular, full-time position with standard business hours. Overtime may be required during peak periods or project deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to visit and inspect construction sites, which may require standing, walking, and climbing.
