Role & responsibilities

- Setting out the site: Surveying the land and marking exact lines and levels to guide structural work.
- Drawing interpretation: Translating complex architectural blueprints and structural designs into actionable tasks for the labor force.
- Quality checks: Inspecting construction materials, reviewing steel frameworks (rebar) before concreting, and overseeing processes like concrete curing to prevent structural defects.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing technical or structural issues as they arise and modifying strategies to resolve them creatively.

- Inventory tracking: Organizing the delivery, safe storage, and usage of raw materials (steel, cement, aggregates) to prevent shortages or theft.
- Equipment supervision: Ensuring heavy machinery and construction tools are operational, maintained, and safely handled.
- Labor scheduling: Assigning shifts and delegating specific tasks to different subcontractors and craftspeople to maximize efficiency

- Progress reporting:



Monitoring daily progress against the project baseline and compiling regular status reports for stakeholders.
- Budget control: Assisting project managers by providing accurate estimates of material needs, tracking operating costs, and preventing cost overruns.
- Documentation: Maintaining a detailed logbook of site activities, testing certificates, casting records, and quantity calculations

- Safety enforcement: Conducting routine safety briefings and ensuring all workers wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Hazard identification: Identifying potential site hazards and proactively implementing mitigating measures to prevent accidents.
- Regulatory compliance: Ensuring the construction methods and resulting structures meet local building codes, environmental guidelines, and zoning laws
