Roles and Responsibilities

- Seeking a Performance Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing and executing load, stress, spike, and endurance tests to ensure application scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Strong hands-on expertise with JMeter,Gatling and k6 for scripting, distributed execution, parameterization, and result analysis.
- Proficient in integrating k6 performance tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and automating test execution and reporting.
- Skilled in analyzing server and application metrics (APM, logs, system metrics) using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Current Relic, AppDynamics, or similar, to identify bottlenecks and recommend performance tuning or architectural improvements.
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills, able to collaborate with Developers, DevOps, QA, and Product teams to define SLAs, performance acceptance criteria, and performance engineering best practices.
- Design, develop, and execute performance testing plans using k6 (mandatory), along with JMeter and Gatling where applicable.
- Ability to write and maintain k6 test scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with Java is an added advantage for developing supporting automation utilities.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with New Relic, AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar monitoring tools to analyze application and infrastructure performance metrics.
- Performance Testing: Experience in conducting load, stress, spike, endurance,



and scalability testing to evaluate application performance under various workload conditions, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations.
- Analysis & Reporting: Strong analytical skills to interpret performance test results and provide actionable insights. Ability to create detailed performance reports and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement performance improvements based on test findings. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating closely with Development, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Document all performance test activities, results, observations, and recommendations, ensuring findings are clear and actionable for both technical and business stakeholders.
- Analyze key performance metrics such as response time, throughput, latency, resource utilization, and error rates to identify trends and provide insights into application behavior.
- Develop automation frameworks and reusable utilities using JavaScript/TypeScript or Java to support performance testing activities.
- Mandatory Requirement - Hands-on experience with k6 scripting is mandatory, including developing and maintaining performance test scripts for APIs and web applications. Candidates should have practical experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, parameterization, correlation, checks, thresholds, custom metrics, workload modeling, and CI/CD integration.
