We are seeking a skilled Nutanix Security Engineer to design, implement, secure, and manage Nutanix infrastructure environments
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Nutanix HCI, virtualization technologies, cybersecurity best practices, and cloud security
The role focuses on ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise infrastructure while maintaining compliance with organizational security standards
Key Responsibilities Nutanix Infrastructure Security Design, implement, and maintain secure Nutanix HCI environments
Configure and manage Nutanix Prism Central, Prism Element, AHV, and related services
Implement security hardening and best practices for Nutanix clusters
Perform vulnerability assessments and security audits on Nutanix infrastructure
Security Operations Monitor security events, logs, and s related to Nutanix environments
Investigate and respond to security incidents affecting Nutanix platforms
Implement and manage role-based access control (RBAC), MFA, and privileged access management
Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements
Network & Cloud Security Secure Nutanix networking components, micro-segmentation, and virtual networks
Integrate Nutanix environments with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Implement secure connectivity and encryption mechanisms
Risk & Compliance Perform security risk assessments and recommend remediation actions
Support compliance initiatives such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR
Develop and maintain security documentation, procedures, and standards
Automation & Continuous Improvement Automate security monitoring and compliance checks using scripting tools
Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to enhance platform security
Stay current with Nutanix product updates, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats
Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills Robust experience with Nutanix HCI, AHV, Prism Central, and Prism Element
Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, AHV)
Experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and IAM solutions
Understanding of network security concepts including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and segmentation
Experience with Linux and Windows administration
Knowledge of cloud security principles across AWS, Azure, or GCP
Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
Security Knowledge Infrastructure security and hardening
Vulnerability management
Identity and Access Management (IAM)
Data encryption and key management
Incident response and threat analysis

Equivalent industry experience may be considered
Experience 5+ years of Infrastructure or Security Engineering experience
3+ years of hands-on experience with Nutanix technologies
