QUALITY MANAGER -

Key Responsibilities

Lead & Manage the Quality Control Team
Oversee a team of 2530 quality control professionals.
Provide guidance, training, mentoring, and performance management.
Foster a culture of quality excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Manage Quality Control Operations
Establish and monitor inspection and testing procedures for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
Ensure products consistently meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement quality control plans, standards, and inspection protocols.
Ensure Product Quality
Monitor critical quality parameters throughout manufacturing processes.
Analyze quality trends and initiate corrective actions to reduce defects and improve process capability.
Knowledge of secondary operations such as Wadding, Sleeving, and Printing will be an added advantage.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements across FMCG, Food & Beverage, EMS, and Pharma sectors.
Customer & Supplier Quality Coordination
Handle customer quality complaints and lead root cause analysis investigations.
Implement and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Coordinate supplier quality evaluations and incoming material quality performance.
Lead and support customer audits and quality reviews.
Quality Systems & Compliance
Support and maintain compliance with:
ISO 9001
ISO 14001
BRCGS Packaging Standards
SEDEX Requirements
Ensure inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation are maintained accurately.
Data Analysis & Reporting




Utilize quality tools and statistical techniques to analyze defects, trends, and process performance.
Prepare quality reports, dashboards, and KPI reviews for senior management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Promote a Quality-Driven Culture
Conduct quality awareness and skill development programs.
Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to improve process performance and product quality.

Job Purpose:

To ensure smooth and efficient running of Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) machines by handling production and maintenance activities. Responsible for achieving production targets, maintaining product quality, minimizing downtime, and ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Production:

- Operate and monitor Extrusion Blow Molding machines (automatic & semi-automatic).

- Plan and execute daily production as per schedule and customer requirements.

- Achieve production targets by optimizing cycle time, reducing wastage, and controlling rejections.

- Ensure product quality by conducting regular checks and coordinating with the Quality team.

- Support new product trials, mold changeovers, and machine setting optimization.

- Maintain production records,



downtime logs, and daily reports.

Maintenance:

- Perform routine preventive maintenance and periodic checks on EBM machines.

- Troubleshoot breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime.

- Attend to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues in EBM machines.

- Coordinate with external service providers or vendors for major repairs when required.

- Maintain spare parts inventory for critical components.

- Work on improving machine reliability and efficiency through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Ensure adherence to safety standards, valuable housekeeping, and 5S practices in the plant.

- Train and guide operators and junior staff on machine handling and safety.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, etc.).

- Work closely with cross-functional teams (QA, Maintenance, Tool Room) for smooth operations.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Plastic / Polymer Engineering or relevant discipline.

- Experience:

- Engineer: 2-4 years

- Sr. Engineer: 4-7 years
Hands-on experience in Extrusion Blow Molding production and maintenance.
- Asst. Manager: 7-12 years Hands-on experience in Extrusion Blow Molding production and maintenance.

- Technical Skills:

- Sound knowledge of EBM machine operation, mold setting, troubleshooting.

- Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical circuits.

- Exposure to preventive maintenance systems and TPM concepts.

- Other Skills: Good communication, analytical thinking, team handling, and problem-solving skills.
