The role will be based at the company's Hyderabad plant
Job Purpose
To plan, coordinate, and monitor production schedules to ensure the timely delivery of products while optimizing resources, inventory, and manufacturing capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and demand forecasts.
- Coordinate with the Sales, Production, Procurement, Stores, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of production plans.
- Monitor production progress and revise schedules to address delays, material shortages, or changes in demand.
- Ensure the timely availability of raw materials and bought-out components through close coordination with the Procurement team.
- Track order status and ensure on-time delivery to customers.
- Analyze production capacity and identify bottlenecks to improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain production planning data in ERP/SAP systems.
- Generate and present planning MIS, backlog, and delivery performance reports.
- Monitor inventory levels and minimize excess or obsolete stock.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to expedite critical materials when required.
