Job Description

The Experienced/Senior Associate of Valuation & Capital Markets Analytics (VCMA) works within a team environment to actively assist in delivering high-quality valuation services for a diverse portfolio of fixed assets (machinery and equipment) for mergers and acquisitions, PPA, impairment analysis and tax planning purposes and audit reviews. This position will work closely with clients, manage valuation projects, and provide expert advice on fixed asset matters, while taking direction and receiving guidance from experienced staff and management members.

Job Duties

- Performs valuation of fixed assets (machinery and equipment) by providing research and due diligence for personal property valuations

- Ability to test valuation methodologies (cost and market approaches) performed by third-party appraisers and check the reasonableness / applicability in the overall analysis for audit reviews.

- Conduct thorough research on market trends, comparable sales, and other relevant data to support valuation conclusions. Stay updated on industry developments and emerging valuation practices.

- Oversee valuation projects from inception to completion, including scoping, data collection, analysis, and reporting.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

- Prepare comprehensive valuation reports that are transparent, concise, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations. Ensure reports meet high-quality standards and effectively communicate valuation conclusions to clients.





- Review and assess valuation work performed by team members to ensure accuracy and consistency. Implement best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of valuation processes.

- Assist in training junior associates in valuation techniques, methodologies and client management.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications

- B.Tech./ B.E./ Bachelor s degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, or other relevant field required.

- M.Tech / MBA preferred.

Experience

- 2+ years of relevant experience in US & Global fixed assets market.

- Prior experience with a valuation firm / Big 4 preferred.

Software

- Proficient in MS Suite (esp. Excel, Word and PPT)

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Excellent communication and report writing skills.

- Executive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements

- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment;

- Experience in financial modeling.

- Strong analytical, comprehension and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to encourage team environment on engagements and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnel.

- Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels.
