Role & responsibilities

Primary Purpose:
Lead the establishment of the organizations technical vision and the design, selection, acquisition, implementation, and outsourcing of technology infrastructure and operations (e.g., computing, data and voice communications, storage, software). Ensure effective alignment of IT resources (people, process, and infrastructure) to meet business objectives and priorities for both internal and external customer-facing technology components. Oversee a large technology organization and significant budget. Serve as a key leader in setting the strategic direction of enterprise IT.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Work with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and business units to develop business requirements, technology strategies, and roadmaps to achieve organizational objectives and strengthen competitive positioning.
2.Define and oversee the development of IT vision, strategies, architectures, and standards to support long-term organizational goals and evolving technology needs.
3.Determine enterprise-wide IT requirements and drive strategy for hardware, software, and infrastructure acquisition, integration, and modernization.
4.Establish governance frameworks to guide IT policy, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide decision-making and operating models.
5.Provide oversight of infrastructure, production operations, data protection, backup, and disaster recovery to ensure business continuity.
6.Lead IT operations to ensure service levels, performance,



and business objectives are consistently achieved.
7.Drive long-term IT resource planning, including budgeting, asset lifecycle management, and investment prioritization.
8.Direct internal teams and vendors in the design, implementation, and management of enterprise technology infrastructure and services.
9.Provide leadership and oversight for key strategic technology initiatives and enterprise programs.
10.Oversee subsidiary or aligned technology units, including leadership decisions, staffing, and major investments.
11.Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends, translating them into actionable insights and investment decisions.
12.Evaluate technology investments using cost-benefit and risk-reward frameworks to support informed decision-making.
13.Partner with business and functional leaders to define IT requirements and ensure delivery of effective technology solutions.
14.Manage strategic vendor relationships and oversee evaluation processes, including technology RFPs and procurement decisions.
15.Present technology strategies, performance, and financial updates to executive leadership, board members, and risk or governance committees.

Required Qualifications:
1.Masters degree in Business or equivalent education and related training.
2.Extensive experience in large-scale data processing environments, combined with significant leadership experience in similar roles.
3.Strong expertise in contemporary computing architectures, distributed systems, and networked technologies, including web-based platforms.
