Job Summary

We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Design Engineer to support the design, development, and quality assurance of cable products. The role involves preparation of design documents, ensuring compliance with standards, validation of test reports, and coordination with internal teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Design & Development

- Design and develop MV (Medium Voltage) and LV (Low Voltage) cable

systems based on customer and project requirements

- Prepare and review technical drawings, datasheets, and product

specifications

- Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance

- Prepare and review Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) aligned with project

requirements

- Verify and analyse type test reports to ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Ensure adherence to national and international standards (IS, IEC, UL, etc.)

3. UL & Standards Compliance





- Ensure compliance with UL specifications and certification requirements
- Maintain updated knowledge of industry standards and regulatory changes

4. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain proper records of design revisions, approvals, and documentation
- Support preparation of technical reports and audit documentation

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Work closely with Production, QA, Procurement, and Sales teams
- Support resolution of technical issues and customer queries

Required Qualifications

- B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- 3-8 years of relevant experience in cable/conductor manufacturing or similar industry

Required Skills & Knowledge

- Strong knowledge of MV & LV cable design and applications
- Familiarity with UL, IS, IEC standards
- Knowledge of QAP preparation and type test validation
- Understanding of cable manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/design tools (preferred)
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems
