Job Title: Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager Projects & MEP

Location: Surat, Gujarat

Job Summary

Responsible for end-to-end execution and management of Greenfield, Brownfield, Facility, Utility, Clean Room, and MEP projects from concept, design, procurement, execution, commissioning, validation, and handover. Ensure projects are completed within approved budgets, timelines, quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory compliance while maintaining operational reliability and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities: -

Project Planning & Cost Control

- Prepare project BOQs, budgets, cost estimates, rate analysis, project schedules, resource plans, and procurement requirements.
- Monitor project costs, material consumption, manpower utilization, productivity, and budget adherence.
- Perform Earned Value Management (EVM) and project performance analysis, including EV, PV, AC/AV, CPI, SPI, cost variance, and schedule variance.
- Identify project risks, delays, bottlenecks, and implement corrective and preventive actions to achieve project milestones.

Project Execution & Coordination

- Lead execution of Civil, Structural, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, Utility, Clean Room, and Facility projects.
- Conduct daily project reviews, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of project activities.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Validation, Maintenance, Procurement, Finance, and Management teams for smooth project execution.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, suppliers, customers, and regulatory authorities to resolve technical and commercial issues.
- Drive project completion through effective planning, coordination, monitoring, and resource management.

Engineering & Design Review

- Review engineering designs, layouts, specifications, technical drawings,



and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, engineering standards, GMP requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Support technical evaluations, vendor assessments, RFQ reviews, bid comparisons, and sourcing activities.

Clean Room, Validation & Qualification

- Manage Clean Room installation, testing, balancing, qualification, validation, and certification activities.
- Execute airflow visualization studies, particle count testing, HEPA filter integrity testing, pressure differential verification, temperature and humidity mapping, and environmental monitoring activities.
- Support IQ, OQ, PQ execution, validation protocols, reports, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, cleanroom classification standards, and validation requirements.

Commissioning & Facility Management

- Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance testing, validation, and final acceptance of HVAC, Utilities, Clean Rooms, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, and Process Utility systems.
- Ensure operational readiness, system reliability, availability, energy efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance of facilities, utilities, HVAC systems, and cleanroom environments.

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain project documentation, engineering drawings, revisions, approvals, inspection records, validation documents, O&M; manuals, and compliance records.




- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, project dashboards, cost reports, EVM reports, CPI/SPI analysis, commissioning reports, and validation reports.
- Ensure complete documentation for audits, regulatory inspections, project handover, and future reference.

Commercial & Billing Management

- Review and verify supplier bills, contractor invoices, work completion records, variation orders, and payment milestones.
- Perform bill reconciliation against BOQs, contracts, approved variations, and actual site progress.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, finance teams, and end users for verification, acceptance, and closure of completed works.

Project Handover & Closure

- Coordinate project closure and handover activities, ensuring completion of training, statutory requirements, validation records, operational readiness, and documentation.
- Ensure all punch points, defects, observations, and snags are closed before commissioning, final acceptance, and handover.
- Achieve successful project completion within approved timelines, budgets, quality standards, and customer expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5–12 years of experience in Project Management, MEP, HVAC, Utilities, Clean Room, Facility, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, FMCG, Chemical, or Industrial Projects.
- Solid knowledge of HVAC, Utilities, Clean Room Validation, GMP, Project Cost Control, EVM, Commissioning, Facility Management, Retrofit, and Brownfield projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ERP systems, and MS Office applications.
- Strong leadership, project coordination, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
