Role & responsibilities:

- Lead Engineering and NPD function for aluminum extrusion from concept to SOP
- Define NPD strategy aligned with business, customer and technology roadmap
- Own end to end execution of NPD projects including feasibility, costing, tooling, trials, validation and PPAP
- Provide technical leadership for extrusion process, die design, alloy development and downstream operation
- Act as primary technical interface with OEM customers for design review, approvals and audits.
- Drive cross functional coordination among engineering, tool room, production, quality, SCM and marketing
- Approve feasibility studies, extrusion concept, die strategies and tooling investments
- Ensure robust APQP execution, PFMEA and risk mitigation
- Lead die trial, Extrusion trial, process capability and FTR achievement




- Oversee PPAP preparation and approval
- Drive VA/VE and conversion cost optimization initiatives
- Ensure adherence to IATF 16949, ISO, QMS and EHS requirements

Preferred candidate profile :

- Diploma/Btech.in Mechanical or related field
- 9-13yrs experience in NPD
- Expertise in Design, APQP, Costing, Project management, and team leadership
- Expertise in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control plans, IATF 16949
- Experience in Manufacturing process like CNC, VMC, SPM, Laser cutting, and welding
- BOP process knowledge like plastic molding, stamping process, and forging
- RFQ and feasibility
- Assembly knowledge
