Urgent opening with a Reputed Group of Companies hiring for its Salt Manufacturing Vertical for the position of Area Sales Manager - East Africa

Qualification: Bachelors degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Experience: 3-5 Years (FMCG/ Food Industry).

Job Purpose:

The incumbent will be responsible for driving primary and secondary sales of the FMCG snacks unit within an assigned territory. The role focuses on distributor management, retail coverage expansion, and achievement of monthly volume and revenue targets.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Achieve monthly and quarterly primary and secondary sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Manage distributors by ensuring stock availability, timely ordering, and credit compliance.
- Expand retail and wholesale coverage through recent outlet development and route planning.
- Supervise, guide, and coach sales representatives and merchandisers.
- Execute trade promotions,



product launches, and merchandising activities as per the marketing plan.
- Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, product placement, and market trends.
- Ensure product visibility, shelf availability, and planogram compliance at key outlets.
- Track and report on sales performance, outlet coverage, stock levels, and market feedback.
- Resolve distributor and retailer issues related to orders, returns, and credit promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, customer visits, and territory activities.
