Senior Manager (Projects) / Assistant General Manager (Projects)

Qualification

Graduate in Dairy, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Control, or Chemical Engineering

Experience

12–14 Years

Industry Preference

Dairy Manufacturing & Engineering MNCs; Food, Pharma, Beverage

Languages

English & Hindi (Mandatory); French, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi (Advantage)

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end CapEx project management including budgeting, BOQ preparation, supplier evaluation and execution.
- Manage annual projects exceeding Rs.50 Crores across multiple plants/locations.
- Ensure safety, food safety and engineering compliance standards.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver agreed project objectives.
- Drive dairy processing projects involving Milk Processing, Evaporation, Dryers, Cheese, Butter, Paneer, Ghee, Fresh Dairy Products and Packaging Lines.
- Implement advanced technologies such as Membrane Systems, AI/ML, IQF, Robotics, X-Ray, Metal Detection and Pick-and-Place Automation.
- Oversee utility systems including Electrical, Steam, Ice Water, Compressed Air, WTP/ETP, Solar, Wind and DG Sets.
- Review and prepare P&IDs;, engineering drawings, mass balance calculations and technical documentation.

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities (Top 10)

1. Lead end-to-end CapEx project planning, budgeting, execution, and commissioning across multiple manufacturing plants.
2. Manage and deliver annual project portfolios exceeding 50 Crores while ensuring timelines, quality, and cost targets are achieved.
3. Drive engineering projects for Milk Processing, Evaporation, Spray Dryers, Cheese, Butter, Paneer, Ghee, and Dairy Packaging Lines.
4. Prepare and review BOQs, technical specifications, project budgets, and engineering documentation.
5. Conduct supplier evaluation, vendor selection, and contractor management to ensure successful project execution.
6. Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Procurement, Finance, and Maintenance.
7. Ensure compliance with food safety, human safety, statutory requirements, and engineering standards.
8. Oversee utilities and infrastructure projects related to Steam, Electrical, Compressed Air, WTP/ETP, Ice Water, Solar, Wind, and DG Systems.
9. Review and interpret P&IDs;, engineering drawings, layouts, and process calculations to support project implementation.
10. Drive adoption of advanced technologies and automation solutions such as Membrane Systems, AI/ML, Robotics, X-Ray Inspection, Metal Detection, and Process Automation.
