System Analyst – API & Integrations

Experience

4–12+ years of overall IT experience with a strong focus on System Analysis, API-based Integrations, and Enterprise Application Delivery.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced System Analyst with strong API and integration knowledge to act as a bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and development teams.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable system and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

1. System & Requirement Analysis

- Engage with business stakeholders, product owners, and SMEs to gather, analyze, and validate business requirements.

- Translate business needs into:

- System Requirements

- Functional Specifications

- API Contracts

- Perform gap analysis between current-state and target-state systems.

- Recommend scalable and efficient technical solutions.

2. API & Integration

- Analyze, define, and document RESTful API requirements, including:

- Request/Response Models

- Input Validations

- Error Handling

- Performance Expectations

- Support API design reviews while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

- Assess upstream and downstream system impacts resulting from API and integration changes.

- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Development teams on:

- Microservices Architecture

- Integration Patterns

- Enterprise APIs

Delivery & Collaboration

- Act as the primary liaison between:

- Business Teams

- Development Teams

- QA Teams

- Architecture Teams

- Ensure requirement clarity, completeness, and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

- Support:

- System Testing

- Integration Testing

- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

- Clarify functional issues during development and testing phases and drive timely resolution.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including:

- Backlog Grooming

- Sprint Planning

- Sprint Reviews

- Serve as the senior functional authority for requirement-related discussions.

4. Documentation & Governance

- Create and maintain:

- System Design Documents

- Interface Specifications

- Data Flow Diagrams

- Process Flow Documents

- Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability from business needs through development and testing.

- Support compliance, governance, and audit activities where applicable.
