Job Summary

Vira Jagani School of Excellence – Shishuvan Dombivli is seeking a qualified and organized Librarian to manage the school library and promote a culture of reading and learning among students. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational, communication, and library management skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library.
- Maintain and organize library books, journals, and digital resources.
- Classify, catalogue, and update library records.
- Issue, receive, and track library books using manual or library management software.
- Guide students and staff in selecting appropriate reading and reference materials.
- Encourage reading habits through library activities and reading programs.
- Ensure proper maintenance and preservation of library resources.
- Coordinate with teachers for curriculum-related library requirements.
- Prepare periodic reports on library usage and inventory.




- Maintain discipline and a conducive learning environment within the library.

Eligibility Criteria

- Bachelor of Library Science (B.Lib./B.Lib.I.Sc.) – Mandatory
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Librarian, preferably in a school.
- Freshers with the required qualification also welcome.

Required Skills

- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office).
- Knowledge of library cataloguing and classification systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with staff and students.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
