- Assist in sourcing and purchasing raw materials such as:
- Plastic films (BOPP, PET, PE)
- Printing inks and adhesives
- Solvents and chemicals
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) based on production requirements
- Coordinate with suppliers for:
- Quotations and price comparisons
- Order confirmations
- Delivery schedules
- Track orders to ensure timely delivery and avoid production delays
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and supplier details
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reordering materials
- Work closely with:
- Production team (for material planning)
- Stores/warehouse (for receipt and stock verification)
- Assist in vendor evaluation and development
- Follow up on pending orders and resolve supply issues
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of procurement processes
- Understanding of materials used in adaptable packaging (preferred)
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
- Proficiency in:
- MS Excel
- ERP systems (like SAP, Tally, or similar)
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Commerce (B.Com)
- Business Administration (BBA)
- Supply Chain / Logistics
- Diploma or certification in materials management or procurement is a plus
Experience
- 0–3 years (entry-level to junior role)
- Experience in packaging, printing, or manufacturing industry preferred
