Job Title: Social Science Teacher (CBSE Curriculum)

`Classes: VII to X (as per requirement)

Job Location: Davangere

Job Purpose:

To deliver engaging and effective instruction in Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Political Science, Economics) in alignment with the CBSE curriculum, ensuring students achieve academic excellence and holistic development.

Key Responsibilities:Academic Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons as per CBSE syllabus and guidelines
- Teach History, Geography, Civics (Political Science), and Economics
- Prepare yearly, monthly, and daily lesson plans
- Design worksheets, assignments, and projects
- Conduct periodic tests, assessments, and exams
- Evaluate answer scripts and maintain accurate academic records
- Identify slow learners and provide remedial support
- Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and inquiry-based learning

Classroom Management

- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment
- Use innovative teaching methods, activities, maps, charts, and digital tools
- Integrate experiential and competency-based learning (NEP 2020)
- Manage classroom time effectively

Student Development

- Monitor academic progress and behavior
- Mentor students and provide guidance
- Promote values such as citizenship, ethics, and social responsibility





Administrative & Co-Curricular Duties

- Maintain lesson plans, attendance, and academic documentation
- Participate in school meetings, training programs, and workshops
- Assist in school events, exhibitions, and field trips
- Communicate effectively with parents during PTMs

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Social Science / History / Geography / Political Science / Economics
- B.Ed. (Mandatory for CBSE)
- CTET/TET qualified (Preferred)
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school (Freshers may apply where applicable)

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong subject knowledge and communication skills
- Familiarity with CBSE assessment patterns
- Ability to integrate technology in teaching
- Student-centric and activity-based teaching approach
- Classroom management and interpersonal skills

Preferred Attributes:

- Knowledge of NEP 2020
- Experience with smart classrooms / digital tools
