Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic Senior Commercial Manager / Commercial Head to lead commercial operations, drive profitability, and strengthen business performance. The role involves managing procurement, vendor development, costing, contracts, and overall commercial strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Cost Management
Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize cost, improve margins, and enhance profitability
Analyze costing structures, pricing strategies, and financial performance
Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive value engineering initiatives
Procurement & Vendor Management
Lead sourcing, procurement, and vendor development activities
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with suppliers
Build strong vendor relationships and ensure timely procurement
Contract & Compliance Management
Manage commercial agreements, contracts, and documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Mitigate commercial risks and ensure legal alignment in contracts
Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with production, finance, sales, and supply chain teams
Align commercial decisions with business and operational goals
Support new business development and project costing
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor the commercial team
Define KPIs and monitor team performance
Build a result-oriented and accountable team culture
MIS & Reporting
Prepare and review MIS reports, cost analysis, and commercial dashboards
Track KPIs and provide insights for decision-making
Support management with data-driven strategies
Key Skills Required
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Expertise in costing, procurement, and contract management
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain
Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Preferred Profile
Experience in manufacturing / engineering / automotive industry
