Key Responsibilities

Complete Dealership Accounting

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities of the dealership.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely posting of all transactions.
- Handle accounting for new vehicle sales, used vehicles, service, workshop, spare parts, accessories and other dealership income/expenses.
- Verify purchase, sales, receipts, payments, journal and contra entries.
- Ensure proper accounting and supporting documents for all transactions.
- Monitor branch/location-wise accounting and expenses.
- Maintain proper ledgers and ensure timely reconciliation.

GST & Taxation

- Ensure proper accounting and classification of GST transactions.
- Verify GST on sales, purchases, services, expenses, credit notes and debit notes.
- Reconcile purchase data with GSTR-2B and books.
- Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns.
- Monitor GST input tax credit eligibility and discrepancies.
- Handle GST-related reconciliations and coordinate with consultants for notices or queries.
- Ensure proper TDS accounting, deductions and timely payments.
- Assist with TDS returns and issuance of TDS certificates.

Accounts Receivable & Outstanding Recovery

- Prepare and monitor customer/vendor outstanding statements.
- Follow up with concerned departments for recovery of overdue amounts.
- Prepare ageing reports and highlight long-pending outstanding balances to management.
- Track manufacturer/dealer claims, warranty claims, insurance claims and other receivables.
- Maintain proper records of advances and deposits.
- Ensure timely adjustment of customer advances against invoices.

Manufacturer / OEM Accounting





- Reconcile accounts with the automobile manufacturer/OEM.
- Monitor manufacturer incentives, schemes, claims, warranty reimbursements and other receivables.
- Track pending approvals and claims requiring manufacturer intervention.
- Ensure proper accounting of incentives, discounts, claims and reimbursements.
- Reconcile manufacturer statements with dealership books.

Month-End & Year-End Closing

- Complete monthly closing of accounts within the stipulated timeline.
- Pass necessary provisions, accruals, prepaid expense and depreciation entries.
- Review all major ledgers before monthly closing.
- Prepare monthly trial balance and financial reports.
- Identify unusual or incorrect accounting entries and rectify them.
- Assist in preparation of annual accounts and year-end closing.

Audit & Compliance

- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors.
- Provide schedules, ledgers, vouchers and supporting documents required for audit.
- Ensure timely resolution of audit observations.
- Maintain proper documentation for statutory compliance.
- Assist in preparation of schedules for statutory audit and tax audit.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, GST, TDS and other statutory requirements.

Internal Controls





- Ensure proper approval procedures for purchases, expenses and payments.
- Verify supporting documents before accounting and payment processing.
- Monitor unusual transactions and accounting discrepancies.
- Ensure proper segregation of duties and financial controls.
- Identify process gaps and suggest improvements to management.

Software & Systems

Candidate should have practical working knowledge of:

- Tally Prime / Tally ERP
- MS Excel – VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF/SUMIFS, filters and basic reporting
- GST portal
- Income Tax / TDS-related portals
- Banking portals
- Automobile dealership DMS/ERP software

Required Qualifications

- B.Com / M.Com / equivalent qualification.
- Experience in an automobile dealership, service centre or workshop environment will be preferred.

Experience

5–8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an automobile dealership or similar multi-location/service-oriented business.

- Ability to work under deadlines

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
