We are a consumer product design, development, and sales company. We develop physical products from concept through CAD, prototyping, supplier coordination, sample review, and manufacturing preparation.

We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Product Design Engineer with expert-level SolidWorks skills. This is not a basic CAD drafting role.

Role

You will help turn product ideas, sketches, reference images, and functional requirements into clean SolidWorks CAD, assemblies, drawings, prototype files, and supplier-ready packages.

This is not a mold-design engineer role. Factories and tooling partners will handle detailed mold design. However, you must understand basic manufacturability and be able to revise CAD based on supplier or factory feedback.

Key Responsibilities

- Create clean, organized, expert-level SolidWorks parts and assemblies.
- Prepare 2D drawings with dimensions, materials, tolerances, and notes.
- Develop housings, covers, brackets, hinges, clips, latches, supports, and simple mechanisms.
- Translate sketches, references, and written requirements into practical CAD.
- Think through fit, clearances, assembly, strength, user experience, and manufacturability.
- Revise CAD based on prototype testing, sample review, and supplier feedback.
- Prepare SolidWorks files, STEP files, PDFs, and supplier-ready CAD packages.
- Communicate clearly with suppliers, factories, designers, and internal team members.
- Maintain organized CAD files, revisions, and design-change notes.

Must Have

- Expert-level SolidWorks skill — this is mandatory and will be tested.
- Strong ability to create production-quality 3D parts, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
- Mechanical engineering background or strong mechanical product design portfolio.
- Experience designing real physical products, parts, mechanisms, fixtures, or assemblies.
- Strong practical problem-solving ability.
- Ability to follow detailed direction carefully.




- Ability to ask smart questions before modeling.
- Positive written English communication.
- Willingness to complete an online hands-on SolidWorks test.

Preferred

- Consumer product design experience.
- Plastic part design experience.
- Basic DFM / manufacturability understanding.
- Experience with ribs, bosses, snap fits, latches, hinges, draft, wall thickness, tolerances, and clearances.
- Supplier, factory, prototype, or production experience.
- Experience with silicone, rubber, TPE/TPR, sheet metal, ceramics, wood, or simple electrical housings.
- Fusion 360, NX, CATIA, or AutoCAD experience is a plus, but SolidWorks is the main requirement.

Portfolio Required

Please provide examples of previous mechanical CAD work, not only renderings.

Relevant examples include:

- SolidWorks parts and assemblies
- Consumer products
- Plastic parts
- Mechanisms
- Housings, covers, brackets, hinges, clips, or latches
- 2D manufacturing drawings
- Products that reached prototype, testing, tooling, or production
- Examples where you solved a real design or manufacturing problem

Applications without relevant mechanical CAD examples may not be considered.

Hands-On Test

Selected candidates must complete an online SolidWorks test before final hiring.

The test may include:

- Creating or revising a SolidWorks part or assembly
- Preparing a basic 2D drawing
- Adding proper clearances, wall thickness, ribs, bosses, clips, or assembly features
- Exporting SolidWorks native files and STEP files
- Briefly explaining design decisions and manufacturability concerns

We are looking for a strong SolidWorks mechanical product engineer who can turn product ideas into real, manufacturable consumer products. We are not looking for a basic CAD operator.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
