Job Description – DILO Needle Punching Machine Operator

Position: DILO Needle Punching Machine Operator

Job Purpose

To operate and monitor the DILO Needle Punching Machine efficiently and safely to

produce high-quality needle-punched carpets and non-woven materials as per

approved product specifications, production plans, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate the DILO Needle Punching Machine as per the approved production plan.
- Set and adjust machine parameters according to product specifications including:
- GSM
- Thickness
- Width
- Needle penetration
- Production speed
- Feed rate
- Punching density
- Ensure proper feeding of fiber and web material into the machine.
- Monitor the complete needle punching process and ensure uniform product quality.
- Check the product regularly for defects such as:
- Uneven punching
- Holes
- Uneven thickness
- GSM variation
- Width variation
- Fiber contamination
- Needle marks or other surface defects
- Carry out routine machine cleaning, inspection, and basic maintenance activities.
- Check the condition of needles, needle boards, feed rollers, punches, and other important machine parts.
- Report any abnormal machine noise, vibration, breakdown, or process deviation to the Production In-Charge and Maintenance Department.
- Ensure proper changeover and machine setting for different products.
- Minimize production wastage and ensure optimum utilization of raw materials.
- Maintain proper production records, machine parameters, and shift reports.
- Ensure proper identification and traceability of production lots.
- Follow all safety procedures while operating and cleaning the machine.
- Ensure compliance with 5S, housekeeping, quality,



and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with the Production In-Charge, Quality Department, and Maintenance Department for smooth production.
- Support continuous improvement activities for productivity, quality, and reduction of wastage.

Required Technical Knowledge

The candidate should have practical knowledge of:

- DILO Needle Punching Machine operation
- Needle punching process and technology
- Fiber opening, blending, and web formation
- Recycled fiber mixing and feeding
- Production of Plain Needle Punching Carpet
- Production of Structured Needle Punching Carpet
- Production of Dilour Carpet
- Production of Vallore Carpet
- Production of Non-Woven Carpet
- Machine setting and parameter adjustment
- Identification and replacement of damaged or broken needles
- Understanding of GSM, thickness, width, density, and other product quality parameters

Skills and Competencies

- Positive knowledge of DILO Needle Punching Machine operation.
- Ability to understand product specifications and production instructions.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify process and product defects.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Strong commitment to quality and production targets.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and 5S practices.
- Ability to work in shifts.

Qualification and Experience

- ITI / Diploma / Technical qualification preferred.
- Relevant experience in operating DILO Needle Punching Machines will be preferred.
- Experience in needle-punched carpet or non-woven fabric manufacturing will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
