Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior R&D; Chemist to lead and drive formulation development projects from concept to commercialization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cosmetic chemistry and product innovation, with hands-on experience in developing stable and compliant formulations for skincare, cosmetics, and oral care products. You will play a key role in expanding our product portfolio, improving existing formulas, and ensuring alignment with industry trends and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
✔Lead the formulation and development of new products in skincare, cosmetics, and oral care categories.
✔Reformulate existing products to enhance performance, stability, and cost-effectiveness.
✔Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, regulatory, and quality assurance.
✔Research new ingredients, raw materials, and technologies to support product innovation.
✔Conduct stability, compatibility, and performance testing of formulations.
✔Maintain detailed documentation, technical data sheets, and formulation protocols.
✔Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety guidelines (e.g., BIS, FDA, EU, etc.).
✔Provide technical support during pilot and scale-up production batches.
✔Mentor and guide junior chemists in lab work and project execution.

Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certifications:
✔Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences,



or related field.
✔Additional certifications in cosmetic formulation, GMP, or regulatory affairs are a plus.

Hard Skills:
✔Proficient in formulation chemistry for skincare, cosmetics, and oral care.
✔Knowledge of emulsions, gels, serums, suspensions, and surfactant systems.
✔Familiar with stability testing, microbiology protocols, and regulatory compliance.
✔Skilled in lab equipment operation and safety protocols.

Soft Skills:
✔Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
✔Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
✔Leadership capabilities and ability to mentor team members.
✔Creative mindset with a passion for innovation.
✔Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience
✔Minimum 5-7 years of experience in cosmetic, personal care, or pharmaceutical R&D.;
✔Experience in private label or contract manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
✔Proven track record of launching successful products from concept to market.
