Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee all plant operations to ensure secure, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing of metal closures.
- Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
- Manage production departments including press shop, coating/printing, tooling, assembly, quality, maintenance, warehouse, and dispatch.
- Monitor production performance, capacity utilization, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems and customer specifications for metal closure products.
- Drive lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and waste reduction programs to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance of production machinery, tooling, utilities, and plant infrastructure.
- Manage raw material consumption, inventory levels, production costs, and operational budgets.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and promote a strong safety culture.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for production and quality issues.
- Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, sales, planning, engineering, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, rejection rates, downtime, on-time delivery, and customer complaints.
- Lead new product introductions, process validation, and production scale-up activities.
- Develop, coach, and evaluate production supervisors, engineers, and plant personnel to improve performance and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards,



Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) where applicable, and customer audit requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships for machinery, tooling, spare parts, and maintenance services.
- Prepare operational reports, production reviews, and performance presentations for senior management.
- Drive automation, digitalization, and process optimization initiatives to enhance operational excellence.

Key Skills

- Strong knowledge of metal closure manufacturing processes (stamping, shell forming, lining, printing, coating, curling, assembly, and inspection)
- Production planning and manufacturing operations management
- Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement
- Quality management systems (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000/SEDEX)
- Budgeting, cost control, and financial management
- Preventive and predictive maintenance management
- Root cause analysis and problem-solving
- Supply chain and inventory management
- Leadership, people management, and team development
- Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE/EHS) compliance
- KPI analysis and performance management
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and strategic planning skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering.
- 10–15+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in a plant leadership role.
- Experience in the metal packaging or metal closure industry, including products such as crown caps, ROPP caps, lug caps, twist-off closures, or aluminum closures.
- Proven track record of improving productivity, reducing costs, and leading high-performing manufacturing teams.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
