We are seeking a passionate, creative, and student-focused English Teacher for Classes VII to X. The ideal candidate should possess solid language proficiency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire students through literature, language, and effective communication. The teacher will be responsible for developing students reading, writing, speaking, listening, comprehension, and critical-thinking skills while ensuring alignment with CBSE learning objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature to students of Classes VII to X as per CBSE curriculum guidelines.
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that develop language proficiency and literary appreciation.
- Foster strong reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and listening skills.
- Develop lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, projects, and enrichment activities aligned with curriculum objectives.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and analytical interpretation of literary texts.
- Support students in developing effective communication and presentation skills.
- Conduct remedial and enrichment classes to address diverse learning needs.
- Ensure timely completion of syllabus and curriculum requirements.
Language Development & Literary Enrichment
- Promote reading habits through literature circles, book reviews, storytelling, and reading programs.
- Guide students in creative writing, essay writing, debates, speeches, and public speaking activities.
- Encourage participation in literary events, competitions, elocutions, quizzes, and creative expression programs.
- Develop students’ confidence in spoken and written English.
- Introduce students to diverse literary genres, authors, and contemporary communication skills.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Design and administer formative and summative assessments, assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Prepare competency-based and skill-oriented assessments aligned with CBSE guidelines.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve language proficiency and academic achievement.
- Analyze assessment outcomes and implement strategies to enhance student performance.
- Participate in result analysis and academic review meetings.
Classroom Management
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning setting.
- Encourage active participation, discussion, collaboration, and respectful communication.
- Foster a classroom culture that supports creativity, curiosity, and self-expression.
- Maintain classroom discipline in accordance with school policies.
Technology Integration
- Utilize Smart Boards, multimedia resources, digital content, language-learning tools, and educational technology platforms.
- Integrate technology into lesson delivery, assessments, and student engagement activities.
- Support blended learning and digital literacy initiatives.
- Use digital platforms to monitor student progress and communicate academic updates.
Student Development
- Mentor students in developing communication, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills.
- Support students in improving confidence in public speaking, presentations, and written expression.
- Guide students in literary competitions, debates, Model United Nations (MUNs), creative writing contests, and co-curricular activities.
- Conduct doubt-clearing sessions and provide individualized academic support.
- Encourage independent learning and lifelong appreciation of language and literature.
Parent Communication
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress and development.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), counseling sessions, and academic discussions.
- Provide recommendations and strategies to support language development at home.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance records, assessment reports, and academic documentation.
- Participate in curriculum planning, faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Support school events, examinations, literary activities, and institutional initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of study materials, question banks, reading resources, and language-learning content.
Required Qualifications
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in English, English Literature, Linguistics,
or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is preferred.
- Master's Degree in English or English Literature will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school.
- Experience teaching English to Classes VII–X.
- Experience in preparing students for literary competitions, public speaking, and language enrichment programs will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
