Job Title: Purchase Manager – Third-Party Pharmaceutical ManufacturingJob Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Purchase Manager to manage procurement for our third-party pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in sourcing APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients), excipients, packaging materials, and coordinating with contract manufacturing partners for tablets and capsules. The candidate should possess excellent vendor management, negotiation, and supply chain planning skills to ensure timely procurement while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and procure APIs for tablet and capsule formulations.
- Manage procurement of pharmaceutical excipients and packaging materials, including:
- Alu-Alu Blisters
- Blister Foils
- PVC/PVDC Films
- Cartons
- Labels
- Inserts
- Bottles & Caps
- Shippers
- Develop and maintain relationships with API manufacturers, packaging suppliers, and third-party manufacturing partners.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements to achieve cost savings.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, regulatory compliance, pricing, and delivery performance.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Regulatory, and Planning teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Prepare purchase orders and monitor order execution until delivery.
- Maintain inventory levels and optimize procurement costs.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with GMP and company quality standards.
- Analyze market trends, raw material prices, and identify alternative sourcing opportunities.




- Maintain procurement records, vendor documentation, and contracts.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical purchasing, preferably in third-party manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of:
- APIs for tablets and capsules
- Pharmaceutical excipients
- Packaging materials
- Vendor development
- Contract manufacturing
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems is preferred.

Preferred Skills

- Existing network with API manufacturers and packaging vendors.
- Knowledge of GMP, WHO-GMP, and pharmaceutical procurement regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple suppliers and projects simultaneously.
- Strong cost optimization and vendor negotiation skills.
