Job Description
The Project Lead – MEP – Site is responsible for planning, supervising, and delivering all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works at the site, ensuring timely completion, high quality standards, and adherence to safety, statutory, and design requirements. The role demands cross-functional coordination with design, civil, planning, procurement, and subcontractor teams to ensure successful project execution and handover.
SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and implement site execution plans for HVAC, Electrical, ELV, Fire Protection, Plumbing, and other MEP services in line with the overall project timeline. Review GFC drawings, raise RFIs where necessary, and monitor installation schedules against key milestones.
- Interface actively with Civil,
Structural, and Architectural teams to ensure coordinated service routing and conflict-free installations. Lead MEP coordination meetings, oversee clash detection and resolution, and ensure seamless integration with the building fabric and other disciplines.
- Plan and allocate work packages to MEP subcontractors, monitor their progress, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Ensure timely mobilization of manpower and resources across trades. Review daily progress reports, resource deployment, and productivity tracking.
- Implement MEP-specific quality checklists, inspection test plans, and method statements. Conduct periodic quality reviews, system testing, and ensure compliance with national and international codes (IS, NBC, NFPA, etc.). Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols for electrical, fire, and pressurized systems.
- Lead testing and commissioning activities of individual systems such as HVAC chillers, panels, pumps, lighting controls, fire alarms, and BMS. Coordinate with OEMs, consultants, and clients for approvals, documentation, and final handover of MEP systems.
