- Dispensing & Compounding: Accurately fill, label, and package prescriptions; compound medications as needed.
- Patient Counseling: Educate patients on proper usage, storage, side effects, and potential interactions.
- Medication Safety: Review prescriptions for appropriateness, check patient allergies/conditions, and monitor drug therapies for adverse reactions.
- Healthcare Consultation: Advise physicians and other healthcare professionals on drug selection, dosage, and interactions.
- Immunizations: Administer vaccinations like flu shots.
- Inventory Management: Order, stock, and maintain pharmaceutical supplies; monitor stock levels and remove expired items.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient profiles, pharmacy files, and controlled substance registries.
- Supervision: Oversee pharmacy technicians and interns.
