Job Summary
The HR Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all human resource functions across the organization. This includes recruitment, employee onboarding, training, performance management, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, employee engagement, HR documentation, disciplinary actions, and retention strategies. The HR Manager will ensure that the company maintains a positive work culture while complying with all applicable labor laws.
Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Plan and execute manpower requirements for all departments.
- Develop job descriptions and recruitment plans.
- Source candidates through job portals, social media, agencies, and referrals.
- Conduct interviews and coordinate final selection.
- Ensure vacancies are filled within target timelines.
- Maintain a talent database for future hiring.
2. Employee Onboarding
- Complete joining formalities and documentation.
- Verify employee records and statutory documents.
- Conduct induction and company orientation.
- Issue appointment letters, ID cards, and employee handbooks.
- Coordinate probation and confirmation processes.
3. HR Operations
- Maintain employee files and HR records.
- Update attendance, leave, and shift records.
- Coordinate payroll inputs with the accounts department.
- Maintain employee databases and HRMIS.
- Prepare monthly HR reports.
4. Performance Management
- Develop KPIs for each department.
- Conduct probation and annual performance reviews.
- Coordinate appraisal processes.
- Recommend promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
- Monitor employee productivity and attendance.
5. Employee Relations
- Handle employee grievances professionally.
- Conduct counseling sessions when required.
- Promote a healthy workplace culture.
- Organize employee engagement activities.
- Resolve conflicts between employees and departments.
6. Training & Development
- Identify training needs.
- Develop training calendars.
- Conduct orientation and skill development programs.
- Coordinate leadership development initiatives.
- Evaluate training effectiveness.
7. Policy & Compliance
- Develop and update HR policies.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate inspections by government authorities.
- Maintain statutory registers and records.
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, Shops & Establishments Act, and other applicable regulations.
8. Payroll & Leave Management
- Verify attendance and leave records.
- Ensure accurate payroll inputs.
- Maintain leave balances.
- Coordinate salary revisions and increments.
- Resolve payroll-related employee concerns.
9. Employee Retention
- Monitor employee satisfaction.
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Analyze attrition trends.
- Develop retention initiatives.
- Recommend employee welfare programs.
10. Disciplinary Management
- Investigate misconduct.
- Issue warning letters and disciplinary notices.
- Conduct domestic inquiries where required.
- Ensure disciplinary actions follow company policy and legal requirements.
11. HR Reporting
Prepare weekly and monthly reports on:
- Recruitment status
- Employee strength
- Attrition rate
- Attendance percentage
- Leave analysis
- Overtime
- Vacancies
- Training conducted
- Employee performance
- HR compliance status
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Time-to-fill vacancies
- Employee retention rate
- Employee turnover rate
- Recruitment cost per hire
- Employee attendance percentage
- Training completion rate
- Statutory compliance score

Required Qualifications
- MBA in Human Resources / MSW / PGDM (HR)
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
Experience
- 5–8 years in Human Resources
- Minimum 2 years in a managerial role
- Experience in retail, hospitality, food production, or manufacturing is preferred

- As per company policy
- Available for urgent HR matters across all branches when required
