Role Summary

The Assistant Manager – Product Marketing is a field-based leadership role responsible for driving the brand presence of Sreedhareeyam Ayurveda and Farmherbs Botanicals across retail outlets throughout Kerala. The incumbent will be the brand's on-ground ambassador, ensuring that the company's 100% herbal, plant-based beauty and baby care products are consistently and compellingly presented at every retail touchpoint. This role suits someone who is proactive, highly mobile, relationship-driven, and passionate about building a category-defining herbal brand at the retail level.

Key Responsibilities

1. Retail Brand Presentation & Display Management

- Plan, execute, and maintain product displays and planograms across all assigned retail stores in Kerala as per brand standards.
- Ensure prominent shelf placement, correct product sequencing, and maximum share of shelf for brand SKUs.
- Set up and maintain point-of-sale (POS) materials including shelf talkers, standees, posters, wobblers, and branded display units.
- Conduct regular store visits to audit display quality, stock levels, pricing accuracy, and brand visibility.
- Identify and capture opportunities for additional display space, secondary placements, and special feature areas within stores.

2. Retail Store Coverage & Field Operations

- Travel across Kerala to manage and service a defined network of retail accounts including pharmacies, health & beauty stores, supermarkets, and general trade outlets.
- Plan and execute an effective beat plan to ensure all assigned stores are visited at the appropriate frequency.
- Build and maintain strong on-ground relationships with store managers, pharmacists, category buyers, and front-line retail staff.
- Address and resolve in-store issues including out-of-stocks, expiry concerns, damaged units, and incorrect pricing promptly.

3. Product Launch & Campaign Execution

- Lead in-store execution of new product launches across retail channels.
- Implement marketing campaigns, seasonal promotions, and festive display activations aligned with brand guidelines.
- Coordinate availability and placement of launch assets, samples, and promotional materials in advance of campaign dates.

- Monitor the effectiveness of in-store activations and report results with photographic documentation.

4. Stock & Trade Management

- Monitor stock levels across stores to prevent out-of-stock situations and ensure listing of all active SKUs.
- Coordinate with the sales and distribution team for timely replenishment and order fulfilment at the retail level.
- Track expiry dates and manage first-in-first-out (FIFO) stock rotation at store level.
- Identify and report slow-moving SKUs and work with the team on corrective action plans.

5. Competitor & Market Intelligence

- Monitor competitor activity at the shelf — pricing, promotions, new launches, and display strategies — and report insights to the marketing team.
- Track market trends, consumer behaviour at retail, and emerging opportunities within the herbal beauty and baby care category.
- Identify gaps in distribution and provide actionable intelligence to support expansion into new retail accounts.

6. Retail Staff Training & Engagement

- Conduct product education sessions and shelf-level training for store staff, pharmacists, and sales attendants to improve product knowledge and recommendation rates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key in-store influencers who actively recommend products to customers.
- Support in-store consumer engagement initiatives and product sampling activations.

7. Reporting & Analytics

- Maintain detailed records of store visits, merchandising status, stock data, and competitive observations.
- Submit structured field visit reports, weekly coverage summaries, and monthly performance reports.
- Maintain a photographic log of in-store displays before and after merchandising interventions.
- Contribute to monthly retail performance reviews with data-backed insights and recommendations.

8. Internal Coordination

- Coordinate closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to align field execution with brand and business priorities.
- Provide timely feedback from the retail floor to inform product, packaging, and marketing decisions.
- Ensure all promotional assets, POS materials, and product samples are available in sufficient quantity before planned activations.
