Job Title: AI Video Editor (Level: Mid-to-Senior)Job Overview

We are seeking a creative and tech-savvy AI Video Editor to join our production team. In this role, you won't just use traditional timeline editors; you will actively integrate generative AI, automation tools, and machine learning models into our post-production workflow. Your primary goal is to drastically scale our video output—ranging from short-form social content to narrative moral stories or corporate videos—while maintaining high artistic and technical quality.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in classic video editing but is obsessed with leveraging AI to work smarter, faster, and more creatively.

Key Responsibilities

- AI-Assisted Editing: Use AI-powered platforms (e.g., Runway, Midjourney, ElevenLabs, Descript, Adobe Premiere's AI features) to generate assets, clean audio, create voiceovers, and automate rough cuts.
- Workflow Automation: Build and optimize workflows that use machine learning to handle repetitive tasks like smart-cropping for vertical formats (9:16), automated captioning, and color matching.
- Asset Generation: Prompt and refine AI-generated imagery, B-roll, background music, and text-to-video elements to fill production gaps or build stylized worlds.
- Traditional Crafting: Combine AI-generated elements with standard footage using traditional software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve) to ensure smooth pacing, sound design, and emotional resonance.
- Quality Control: Manually review and fix "AI hallucinations" or artifacts (such as distorted hands, weird textures, or robotic audio cadences)



to ensure the final output looks professional and polished.
- Tech Scouting: Keep up with the rapidly changing AI landscape, testing new tools and workflows to constantly improve the team's production speed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Software Proficiency: Deep experience with standard editing suites (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve,).
- AI Toolset Expertise: Hands-on experience with generative AI platforms across video, image, and audio (e.g., Runway Gen-2/Gen-3, Sora, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, ElevenLabs, Google flow or similar).
- Prompt Engineering for Media: Ability to write precise, effective prompts to generate consistent characters, styles, and assets.
- Classic Editing Fundamentals: A solid eye for pacing, continuity, color grading, and audio mixing. AI creates the pieces, but you must know how to piece them together to tell a compelling story.
- Adaptability: A mindset that embraces change, as AI tools and capabilities evolve almost weekly.

Preferred Qualifications

- Background in animation, 2D layout, or motion graphics.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a mix of traditional editing and AI-integrated workflows.
