Job Summary:
The Production Chemist will be responsible for overseeing and executing the manufacturing, quality control, and batch processing of cosmetic, skin care, and oral care formulations. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with GMP, safety protocols, and company SOPs while optimizing production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing & Batch Processing:
✔Prepare, monitor, and supervise the production of skin care, cosmetics, and oral care products.
✔Ensure accurate weighing, mixing, and processing of raw materials as per formulations.
✔Maintain batch records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

Quality Control & Assurance:
✔Conduct in-process quality checks (pH, viscosity, appearance, stability) to ensure product consistency.
✔Troubleshoot production issues and recommend corrective actions.
✔Work closely with the R&D; and QA/QC teams to implement best practices.

Compliance & Safety:
✔Adhere to GMP, ISO, and company safety guidelines.
✔Ensure proper handling of chemicals and adherence to waste disposal protocols.

Process Improvement:
✔Identify opportunities to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
✔Assist in scaling up lab-scale formulations to commercial production.

Qualifications & Skills:
Hard Skills:




✔Strong knowledge of cosmetic/skin care/oral care formulations.
✔Experience in batch manufacturing, emulsion preparation, and hot/cold processing.
✔Familiarity with GMP, ISO 22716, and regulatory compliance.
✔Proficiency in QC testing instruments (pH meter, viscometer, etc.).

Soft Skills:
✔Robust attention to detail & problem-solving abilities.
✔Effective communication & teamwork.
✔Ability to work in a quick-paced production environment.

Education & Certifications:
✔B.Sc/M.Sc in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field.
✔Diploma/Certification in Cosmetics/Skin Care Manufacturing (preferred).

Preferred Experience:
✔2-5 years of experience in cosmetic/skin care/oral care production.
✔Prior experience in a private-label or contract manufacturing company is a plus.
