Job Purpose

To carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhauling of diesel engines and transmission systems to ensure reliable vehicle performance and minimize breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel engines, transmission systems, braking systems, hydraulic systems, and other vehicle components.
- Perform preventive, predictive, routine, and breakdown maintenance to ensure smooth vehicle operation.
- Ensure quality maintenance and repair work to avoid repeat failures and improve vehicle reliability.
- Attend vehicle breakdowns promptly and restore equipment within minimum time to reduce operational downtime.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and implement 5S standards in the workshop and maintenance areas.
- Follow all safety procedures, use appropriate PPE, and report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and near misses.
- Prevent oil leakages and spillages and ensure proper segregation and disposal of waste materials as per company guidelines.
- Promote and maintain a Zero Harm & Zero Injury culture.

Major Challenge

- Troubleshooting starting problems related to diesel engines and diesel fuel line issues.

Qualification & Experience

- 10th Pass / ITI.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in diesel engine maintenance and engine overhauling.

Functional Skills

- Strong troubleshooting ability.




- Knowledge of diesel engine maintenance tools and equipment handling.
- Ability to ensure the health and reliability of diesel engines through effective maintenance practices.

Technical Requirements

- Sound knowledge of diesel engine systems, transmission systems, hydraulic systems, braking systems, suspension systems, and heavy vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to perform preventive, predictive, routine, and breakdown maintenance of heavy vehicles and industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of fault diagnosis, dismantling, inspection, overhauling, assembly, and testing of diesel engines and related components.
- Familiarity with lubrication practices, workshop tools, maintenance safety procedures, and equipment inspection methods.
- Basic knowledge of SAP/MIS reporting, maintenance documentation, Microsoft Office, and the ability to quickly learn new maintenance systems and technologies.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹48,000.00 per month
