Job Description

Legal Raasta Technologies Private Limited is looking for a Trademark Intern with a robust understanding of Trademark registration, prosecution, and hearing procedures. The selected candidate will assist in handling end-to-end trademark matters, ensuring timely execution of client cases while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Key ResponsibilitiesTrademark Filing & Prosecution

- Conduct trademark availability searches and prepare search reports.
- Prepare, draft, and file trademark applications through the IP India Portal.
- Handle post-filing formalities, including examination report tracking and Vienna Code classification.
- Draft and file replies to examination reports and objections under the Trade Marks Act, 1999.
- Prepare and file counter-statements, evidence, and other legal documents.
- Maintain complete records of trademark applications and deadlines.

Hearings & Opposition Management

- Assist in preparing documents for Trademark hearings before the Registry.
- Coordinate hearing schedules and maintain hearing records.
- Handle opposition matters, counter-statements, evidence, and related documentation.
- Follow up with the Trademark Registry regarding pending applications and hearings.

Client Coordination

- Communicate with clients regarding filing requirements, objections, hearings, and application status.
- Guide clients on trademark classes, filing procedures,



and brand protection strategies.
- Ensure timely follow-ups and maintain excellent client relationships.

Compliance & Documentation

- Maintain accurate records of filings, renewals, deadlines, and case updates.
- Generate case status reports and maintain internal MIS.
- Ensure compliance with the Trade Marks Act, 1999, and CGPDTM guidelines.
- Prepare legal drafts, notices, objections, replies, and supporting documents.

Research & Development

- Stay updated on the latest developments in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
- Conduct legal research related to trademarks, copyrights, patents, and design registrations.
- Support the team in expanding IPR-related services and documentation.

Skills & Requirements

- Graduate / Postgraduate / LLB (Law Graduate preferred).
- Basic knowledge of Trademark registration, prosecution, and hearing procedures.
- Familiarity with the IP India Portal and trademark filing process.
- Knowledge of drafting objections, examination replies, counter-statements, and evidence.
- Basic understanding of Copyright registration.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases.
- Proficiency in MS Office and online filing tools.

Preferred Experience

- Internship or experience with IPR Law Firms, CA Firms, CS Firms, or Legal Service Companies.
- Exposure to Trademark hearings and interaction with Trademark Registry officials will be an added advantage.
