Role Description

SECTION II: JOB SUMMARY

Electrical R&D; (BESS) will lead and manage the research and development of electrical systems and subsystems related to Battery Energy Storage Systems. The role includes overseeing technical teams, guiding innovation in power electronics, battery management systems (BMS), control algorithms, and ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards. The Deputy Manager will collaborate cross-functionally to bring cutting-edge BESS solutions from concept to production.

Job Responsibilities

Lead electrical R&D; efforts for BESS, including inverter design, control systems, power conversion, and protection systems.

Supervise development and validation of BMS and energy management systems.

Direct prototype development, testing, and performance analysis.

Stay abreast of advancements in electrical engineering, energy storage, and power electronics to drive innovation.

Coordinate with product design, manufacturing, and QA teams to ensure design for manufacturability and reliability.

Guide team in simulation, modeling, and hardware-in-loop testing of systems.

Review and approve technical documentation, test plans, and design reports.

Ensure compliance with relevant international standards (UL, IEC, IEEE, etc.).

Manage R&D; budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.

Mentor and develop engineering talent within the team.

Job Description

Design and solutioning of lithium ion battery systems , knowledge of the factor for calculations and designing of battery pack , responsible for approvals of products , should have knowledge of standards requirement of lithium ion packs in system segment ,



should have knowledge of Autocad for electrical layouts .

Minumum hands on Experience 5- 8 yrs of BESS porduct design, installation and certification of products and understanding of Product certfications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering

- MS Office & Project,

Knowledge of SAP is preferred

Specific Experience

5 - 8 years in electric engineering in Battery/Automative.
