Job Title: Core Shooter Operator

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Core Shooter Operator with a minimum of 5 years of experience in foundry core-making operations. The candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining core shooter machines to produce high-quality sand cores that meet production and quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup & Operation

- Set up and operate hot box, cold box, or shell core shooter machines.
- Adjust machine parameters such as shooting pressure, curing time, and temperature according to product specifications.
- Perform machine changeovers for different core sizes and patterns.
- Ensure continuous machine operation with minimum downtime.

Core Production

- Produce sand cores as per production plans and daily targets.
- Inspect cores for cracks, blow holes, dimensional accuracy, and other defects.
- Handle and store finished cores carefully to prevent damage.

Quality Control

- Check the quality of cores using gauges, drawings, and inspection standards.
- Ensure cores meet customer specifications and foundry quality requirements.
- Report quality issues immediately and take corrective action.

Machine Maintenance

- Perform daily machine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
- Inspect nozzles, cylinders, heaters, mixers, and other machine components.




- Identify machine faults and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.

Material Handling

- Monitor sand mixture quality, resin, catalyst, and other raw materials.
- Ensure proper material usage to reduce wastage.
- Maintain accurate production and material records.

Safety & Housekeeping

- Follow all safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
- Maintain 5S standards in the work area.
- Ensure safe handling of chemicals, resins, and equipment.

Documentation

- Record daily production output, rejection details, downtime, and maintenance activities.
- Update production reports accurately.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of core-making processes and foundry operations.
- Experience in operating hot box, cold box, or shell core shooter machines.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Knowledge of sand preparation, resin systems, and curing processes.
- Valuable troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma / Any Technical Qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Core Shooter Operator in a foundry.

Preferred Qualities

- Strong attention to quality and safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and overtime as required.
- Ability to train junior operators and support continuous improvement activities.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹29,827.18 per month
