Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced VMC Programmer to create, optimize, and manage CNC programs for Vertical Machining Centers (VMC). The candidate should be capable of interpreting engineering drawings, selecting suitable tooling, and ensuring high-quality production with optimum cycle time.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop CNC programs for VMC machines using CAM software or manual programming.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and machining specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
- Optimize machining cycle time while maintaining product quality.
- Conduct prove-out and first-piece inspection before production.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
- Modify and improve existing CNC programs for productivity.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Tool Room departments.
- Maintain program backups and machining documentation.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain 5S practices in the work area.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of VMC programming (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Haas, or similar controls)
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Powermill, NX CAM, SolidCAM, HyperMill, etc.)




- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool offsets, and tool life optimization.
- Understanding of machining parameters and metal cutting principles.
- Experience in fixture planning and process optimization.
- Knowledge of quality inspection using precision measuring instruments.

- Experience in precision component manufacturing.
- Knowledge of tooling selection and fixture design.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork.
