Employment Type: Full-time / On-site

You will be part of AMEC’s core R&D; team developing our next-generation Solar Hybrid Inverter. In this role, you will design enclosure systems, manage thermal & structural requirements, ensure manufacturability, and collaborate across electrical, thermal, and firmware teams to build a robust, compact, and production-ready inverter.

What You’ll Do:

- Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.
- Design the inverter enclosure (Metal Die cast/plastic/sheet metal) ensuring durability, compactness, and ease of assembly.
- Ensure proper tolerance stack-ups and GD&T; for reliable manufacturing.
- Analyze/Simulate mechanical stresses, vibration loads, and mounting robustness on Ansys/Hypermesh.
- Build and evaluate 3D printed models, CNC samples, and early prototypes.
- Design for DFM/DFA, focusing on injection moulding, die casting & sheet metal processes.
- Work closely with tooling vendors during mould development.
- Maintain CAD files, BOMs, engineering change documents, and validation reports.
- Support design reviews with technical drawings, simulations, and prototype data.

What we’re looking for:

- 3–8 years’ experience in mechanical design for electronics, electrical devices, power systems, or consumer products
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- Solid CAD expertise (SolidWorks),

With Knowledge of injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication, die casting, and DFM/DFA requirements.
- Understanding of thermal management, heat sinks, airflow, and mechanical-thermal integration.
- Familiarity with GD&T;, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawing standards.
- Experience with prototyping tools (3D printing, rapid machining).
- Knowledge of IP ratings (IP54/IP65/IP67) and environmental sealing techniques.
- Experience designing enclosures for inverters, UPS, battery systems, EV components, or power electronics products.
- Experience with FEA, thermal simulations, or basic CFD analysis.

Nice-To-Have:

- Exposure to thermal simulation/CFD tools (ANSYS Fleunt, FloEFD) to validate airflow and heat dissipation.
- Knowledge of mechanisms, latch systems, snap-fits, and locking features for enclosures.
- Understanding of mold flow analysis, parting lines, ejector design, and draft optimization.

Why Join AMEC:

- Be part of the core R&D; team building our flagship AI-powered Solar Hybrid Inverter — SOURCE.
- High ownership and opportunity to influence architecture, design decisions, and product direction.
- Fast-paced, innovation-driven culture where your work directly impacts real products.
