BCBS Data Governance would focus on applying data governance principles to regulatory data, ensuring that the bank meets its regulatory obligations through proper data controls, lineage, quality, and lifecycle management.
- Build and improve Data Management Policy and BCBS239 advisory and support documents, ensuring easily accessible, understood, current and aligned with processes and services.
- Maintain and improve the bank's BCBS239 compliance interpretation, ensuring it is current, understood, communicated, aligned to policy and processes and fit for purpose
- Lead Risk Taxonomy Control Library ad hoc projects as required by tracking annual refresh cycles,
taxonomy and control changes and sharing updates to management.
- Provide expert advice to management in overseeing risk and control governance processes
- Design and lead delivery of training and education.
- Work with BAU workstreams and sub functions to drive improvements in compliance status where required
- Knowledge of BCBS239 and Data Management Policy, guidelines and data procedure requirements
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting and risk data requirements
- Aptitude in using data governance frameworks, controls and tools
- Solid stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills
