Who are we looking for

We are looking for an experienced GTM Consultant for a high-priority sales transformation engagement. This project is with a leading global consulting firm and their client in the building materials sector, focusing specifically on the pipes industry. We are seeking candidates with a robust background in front-line sales and deep regional expertise in South India.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Support the development and execution of go-to-market and sales strategies to enhance the client's market position.
- Provide deep market insights and commercial expertise across key South Indian markets, including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala.
- Work closely with consulting and client teams to identify opportunities for sales growth and improve front-line sales effectiveness.
- Leverage industry knowledge to recommend practical approaches for strengthening channel performance and market coverage.




- Engage with key stakeholders to support strategic decision-making and ensure the successful execution of sales initiatives.
- Drive initiatives to improve sales effectiveness and overall market penetration in the region.

Your Background:

- 7–12 years of front-line sales experience within the building materials sector, preferably in the pipes or paints industry.
- Strong understanding of GTM strategy, sales execution, and commercial operations.
- Proven experience managing or driving sales across South Indian markets (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala).
- Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- Proficiency in one or more South Indian languages is highly desirable.

Other Info:

- Duration: This is a full-time, contractual role with an initial duration of 12 months, which is extendable based on project requirements and performance.
- Location: Chennai (on-site). Consultants should ideally be based in Chennai or be open to relocating there for the duration of the project. Candidates with strong regional market experience and local language capabilities will be preferred.
- Language Proficiency: South Indian languages (Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam) are highly preferred.
