Role Purpose

Manage end-to-end technical procurement of engineering and non-engineering equipment, machinery, spares, MOC materials, fabricated items and site consumables for SFGE industrial EPC projects. The role combines technical evaluation, commercial negotiation, Pan-India sourcing, vendor development and timely site delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Review BOQs, material requisitions, drawings, data sheets and project schedules; prepare package-wise procurement plans.
- Identify technically suitable equipment, machinery, parts, approved makes and Materials of Construction.
- Develop and manage Pan-India vendors, OEMs, authorised dealers, fabricators and service providers.
- Float RFQs, evaluate techno-commercial offers, prepare comparisons and negotiate price, credit, warranty and delivery terms.
- Prepare purchase recommendations, coordinate approvals and ensure accurate purchase orders and ERP records.
- Expedite manufacturing, inspection, testing, documentation, dispatch and required-at-site delivery.




- Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Planning, Quality, Finance, Stores, Logistics and Site teams.
- Monitor budget, cost savings, purchase price variance, vendor performance, delays and procurement risks.

Procurement Coverage

Pumps, motors, valves, gearboxes, tanks and vessels; piping and fittings; structural/fabricated items; electrical panels, cables, instruments and automation components; HDPE, PP, PVDF, PPR, FRP, SS and CS materials; machinery spares, tools, PPE, consumables and site support requirements.

Qualification Experience

- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- 78 years of relevant experience in industrial EPC procurement, engineering purchase or technical sourcing.
- Hands-on exposure to OEM sourcing, vendor development, technical evaluation, negotiations, expediting and project delivery.
- Experience with project sites, fabrication vendors, inspections, quality documentation and ERP-based procurement.
- Postgraduate qualification/certification in Materials, Supply Chain, Procurement or Project Management is preferred.
